Job Title: Shipping Store Associate

Location: Hackettstown, New Jersey
Position Type: Full-time/Part-time

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping Store Associate at our new location in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be capable of handling various tasks efficiently, and demonstrate a positive attitude towards assisting customers. This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, as well as flexibility in working opening and closing shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries regarding shipping, mailbox rentals, and other store services.
  • Process shipping orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring packages are properly labeled, packed, and shipped according to carrier guidelines.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, maintain accurate records of sales, and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift.
  • Sort incoming mail and packages, distribute mail into mailboxes, and assist customers with retrieving their mail as needed.
  • Capture passport-quality photographs for customers, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including shelving, displays, and work areas, to provide a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking supplies, ordering materials, and conducting periodic inventory counts.
  • Provide product recommendations and upsell additional services, such as packaging supplies, insurance, and specialty shipping options, to meet customers' needs and increase sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations, to uphold the integrity and security of store operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and objectives, contributing to a positive work environment and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and comfortable using point-of-sale systems and other store technology.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
